NCDA Return to Play Update
The time has come where we can finally begin our new modified season format (thanks to COVID).
WHAT: A doubles season, meaning teams of 2 or 3 players, for about 10 weeks.
WHEN: Registration is open from now until Saturday 9/26 at midnight. Play will occur Thursday nights at 7:30pm from 10/1 to 12/10.
WHERE: Teams will play home and away matches, and have a home bar. The bars that are currently available with the number of available teams are here: Matt’s Place (8), Office Lounge (8), Matchups (4), NightShotz (4), Burnout (4), *Parrot’s (6), *McCarthy’s (8), *Sparge brewery (2).
Bars with * are still to be confirmed. Please reach out to the Board if you are aware of other locations that have approved league activities.
HOW MUCH: $50 per team. We are waiving sponsor fees for the season to support them as much as we can in what has been an extremely hard time for them.
BONUS: Everyone who registers will receive an NCDA face-mask!
FORMAT: Will look similar to the team league, with a top, middle, bottom. Exact guidelines will be published when registration closes. Due to bar capacity restrictions, we request that only 2 team members are present for each part of the match (top, middle, bottom), and no spectators. No subs will be allowed, so sign up with 2 or 3 players that will be able to play the entire season.
DARTCONNECT: We highly encourage all matches to be scored on DartConnect, which the league will be paying for. This will only require 1 tablet per match, and all stats will be kept through DartConnect’s league feature. I am very experienced with this, so please reach out if you have questions. I also have great tablet recommendations for anyone looking (including <$50).
REGISTRATION: Should be completed online by midnight on Saturday September 26. This includes filing the form, and paying your team registration fee ($50) online by this time. Schedules, final division assignments, and information will be published shortly after. There will be no formal in-person captains meeting, but all information will be sent out via EMAIL, so please provide an address that will be checked.
DIVISIONS: Final division assignments will be made based off team members' individual ranks and total registration numbers in order to keep divisions both well sized and fairly weighted.
None of this is the way we wished to carry out the fall season, but we are looking forward to seeing many of you back in action at the oche in any capacity we can.
